She investigates the changes in burial customs of the 5th &#8211; 7th centuries AD and to what extend the deposited goods in early medieval burials can account for an increase in demand, possibly fueling economic development. Femke obtained a Research MA (cum laude) in the Transformation of the Roman World RMA form Leiden University in 2017.
